Signature Series Raw Tigernuts provide the serious angler with a proven, versatile particle bait selected under Loutjie Louwies trusted philosophy: “If it works for me, it will work for you.” Supplied in a 1kg bag, these premium raw tigernuts are the ideal foundation for creating a highly effective, custom-prepared fish feeding spot (voerplek) and particle mixes.

Raw tigernuts are one of the most reliable natural baits for targeting carp. Because they are supplied uncooked, you have full control over the preparation process - allowing you to decide how soft to cook them, how sweet to ferment them, or which flavours and attractants to infuse during boiling. This flexibility makes them a staple ingredient for anglers who prefer preparing their own feed rather than relying on pre-made cooked particle feeds.

Once cooked, Signature Series Raw Tigernuts are most commonly used as a bulk feed ingredient for building feeding spots using bait boats, kayaks, canoes, spods, throwing sticks, or catapults. They are highly effective when mixed with other cooked particles, ground feed, or hemp to create a rich, textured feed carpet that keeps fish actively feeding in the area for extended periods. Many anglers also incorporate cooked tigernuts into their mielie bom preparation to add crunch, food content, and long-lasting attractionto the batch of mielie bom that they have prepared.

Beyond feeding applications, cooked tigernuts can also be used as hard hook baits, making them especially useful when targeting wary carp or when nuisance fish are present. Their firm texture, natural sugars, and proven attraction make them a dependable option for both bank angling carp (papgooi) and specimen carp fishing across South African waters.
